Investigators with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Steele County Sheriff’s Office survey the wreckage of a single-engine plane Friday morning in a farm field just north of Beaver Lake near Ellendale. The plane crashed Thursday night while flying from Duluth to Winona. The pilot, Daniel Bass, 39, of Winona is expected to make a full recovery after being seriously injured in the crash.
