Life Lessons in Disney Movies
I was raised on Disney movies and still watch them to this day. You can never go wrong with a Disney movie and you learn a lot from them.
Here are a few Disney movies that I think have good life lessons. The life lesson of Lilo & Stitch is that someone does not have to be blood related to you in order to be family. Also just because someone is different that does not mean that they shouldn't be treated fairly. Lilo was able to see past Stitch's weird appearance and behavior and loved him just like she would any other pet. Eventually her sister learned to love Stitch as well and accepted him as part of the family.
Mulan teaches us to be yourself and to do what you believe is right, even if other people disagree with you.
Simba from The Lion King teaches us not to be afraid and face your fears as you go through life.
We learn from Frozen that nothing is wrong with independence and sometimes all the support you ever need is from your family.
What we can learn from Beauty and the Beast is that you cannot judge a book by its cover. Also it teaches that it is who someone is on the inside counts and that reading is awesome and having knowledge is power.
The characters in Tangled teach us that sometimes the people who are supposed to care for us or claim to care for us do not actually have our best interest in mind and it is okay to go outside of your comfort zone.
The life lesson of Cinderella is that treating people cruelly gets you no where in life and if you do what is right, even when the odds are against you, then you will be rewarded.
We learn from Mary Poppins that we should always strive for perfection and you can both work and have fun at the same time, and having an imagination is not a bad thing either. It also teaches the hard lesson of being able to say goodbye and move onto the next opportunity when the time comes.
What we can learn from Pinocchio is to use your moral compass when everyone around you is telling you what to do, and you'll find that your intuition will point you in the right direction.
We learn from The Little Mermaid that you'll always want more, so appreciate what you have.
The life lesson of Alice in Wonderland is that every day brings new adventures, and there's never a reason to stop being curious.
Dumbo teaches us to love yourself enough to accept your own flaws- those "flaws" are what makes us beautifully different.
What we can learn from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is that attitude really is everything. And with a positive approach, the drudgery of everyday tasks won't seem so bad.
Aladdin teaches us that life will throw plenty of rough patches your way, but don't give up and you'll get through it.
The life lesson of Lady and the Tramp is to keep moving forward trying new things and you'll be led down new paths.
Sleeping Beauty teaches us that it's amazing what a little self-encouragement is capable of.
What we can learn from The Fox and The Hound is that it's a hard life and you can't always get what you want, but remember that life changes in remarkable ways at the most unexpected moments.
We learn from Peter Pan that you can accomplish amazing things, even fly, by thinking positively.
And finally Thumper from Bambi teaches us that if you cannot say something nice, don't say nothing at all.
