Kind of a Quirky Girl
Since my birthday has gone and passed now, I think it’s a appropriate to tell you some quirks about me that people usually don’t typically know. Seeing as I’m almost an adult now.
•I hate spaghetti. Yes, I hate the most romantic food known to common cuisine. I think it’s disgusting and I don’t plan on eating it any time soon. I’ll probably never eat it again.
•One time when I was a kid I almost swallowed a pencil. I also almost lost my tonsils in the process.
•When I was younger, I believed in the Tooth Fairy so much that I remember crying when I lost my tooth in the snow. I was so upset and afraid they would be mad at me that I wrote them a letter to apologize. I’m still trying to impress mystical beings, if you can’t tell.
•I still fit into some of my clothes that I’ve had since I was 12. I kept some of my old tied-dyed t-shirts, and sometimes I still wear them. Basically, I’m about the size of a sixth grader.
•The space under my brother’s old twin-sized bed used to be so big that we would make forts underneath it, and sometimes we would even fall asleep under his bed.
•Me and my sister used to share a room, and a closet. Sometimes we would clear out the closet and set up blankets and pillows to make it comfortable. We used to binge-watch seasons of Full House. Full House is still one of my favorite TV shows.
•One time I saw a pregnant woman in public, and she was pretty far along. I felt so bad for her that I started crying in public. I was probably 5 years old.
•I have vague memories about my family getting a computer. I remember learning programs my mom used to get me, though, and one of them was all about electricity and how it works. I think my mom was trying to ensure that I didn’t mess around with outlets.
•My mom tells me that my favorite TV show as a little kid was Dora the Explorer, and I have to say I’m still not very good at Spanish.
•I used to be absolutely terrified of roller coasters. It was just a couple years ago that I finally worked up the nerve to get on one.
•My favorite pastime is probably reading, painting, or knitting, but I only get opportunities to do these things during the summer.
•I’m a really bad procrastinator.
•I’ve been in dance since I was 2 years old.
•I am a very indecisive person. Sometimes it takes me hours to actually decide upon something.
Now that you know a little about me, I hope it lets you draw a more accurate picture of me. And while my birthday has come and passed, I think I’ll just try to enjoy where I am now.
