Scott Luverne Reyant, owner of Reyant Painting and Restoration and resident of Albert Lea, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 of a massive heart attack at the age of 56 doing what he loved, ice fishing.
Scott was born on Nov. 2, 1962 in Owatonna, the son of Nancy (Dahl) Reyant. He attended Owatonna High School and graduated in 1981. Following high school, Scott attended Crookston Vo-Tech.
He then started working at McQuay’s and Apex until starting his own commercial painting business, Reyant Painting and Restoration, formerly Ultimate Painting. Aside from his painting business, he raised and sold thoroughbreds at Willow Run Thoroughbreds.
On July 1, 2016, Scott married Lisa Meyer in Estes Park, Colo. Scott was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, remodeling projects and relaxing by a bonfire with his wife. He was a problem solver who just didn’t know when to quit until the job was done, and done right. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
