Linda D. Hutchinson, 70, passed away in Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, from cancer, after suffering this past year.
Linda was born in Bancroft, Iowa to the parents of Gerald and Mary Hutchinson on Aug. 19, 1948.
Linda graduated from Hayfield High School and went to college at St. Ben’s in St. Joseph. She has written two books on humor and her latest adventure being licensed as an Avatar Master; she taught and gave lectures courses in personal awareness and spiritual growth with people from all over the world. Prior to starting her own company in 1992, Linda was a professional educator for Hazelden and Wilder Foundation.
Linda has been an adjunct faculty for the College of St. Catherine teaching courses on Spirituality and Sexuality, Christian Life Stages, and Spirituality and Humor, and belonged to Winter Laboratory and landmark.
Linda was married to Jeremy de Friebe and later divorced.
She is survived by her beloved son Jesse de Friebe, whom she was so very proud of. He works for NASA in Cleveland, Ohio. Other survivors are sister Joyce (Gary) Threinen of Kasson, Albert Hutchinson of Blaine, Jerry (Marcia) Hutchinson of Byron, David (Carol) of Spring Grove, Steve, Rick (Annette) Hutchinson all of Rochester. Several nieces, nephews and her “grand-dog” Twitch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a niece, and nephew.
