Police investigate attempted abduction
Police in Kasson continue to investigate a report of an attempted abduction in the northeast part of town involving a 10-year-old girl on her way home from school.
The alleged incident took place March 10 around 3:50 p.m. east of K-M Schools near the bicycle paths along 16th Street. There was a 10 minute delay in reporting the incident, according to police chief Ken Schuck.
The girl told police that a dark green, four-door car occupied by two black men, one possibly having gray hair, approached her and asked her to hop into the vehicle. She also told officers that “she believed a firearm was pointed at her,” Schuck said. He added the girl immediately turned away, bolted from the area and ran home to tell her parents.
