Meet The 2019 Kasson Ambassadors candidates

The annual Kasson Ambassador Ceremony will be taking place on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. This year's candidates submitted short bios about themselves to the DCI!

Melissa Seljan

Hello, my name is Melissa Seljan and I am the daughter of Chris and Laura Seljan. I have lived in Kasson my entire life and attend school at Kasson-Mantorville High School where I will be a senior this year. I am very involved in my community and school participating many activities such as; 4H, HOSA, FCCLA, AFS, band, Student Council, class officer, St. Johns Youth Group, and managing the girls softball team. During the summers I work as a lifeguard and I also co-coach the local swim team at the Kasson Aquatic Center.
One of my most memorable achievements would be being elected the Dodge County 4H Youth Leadership Council President where I work with the other team members and youth to make decisions that benefit over 300 Dodge County 4Hers.
I have chosen to run for Kasson Ambassador because of my love for this community and I would like to thank Nate Gransee from Gransee Construction for sponsoring me on this endeavor. I truly believes that Kasson is the best community to grow up in and I want to be able to represent it and the people who have influenced and supported me through the years.

Tanner Paulson

I am Tanner Paulson and an incoming senior. I enjoy spending my time wrestling, hanging out with friends and family, watching movies and playing a little bit of poker(not addicted). I want to be a positive role model in the community and the Kasson Ambassador Program is a great opportunity for me!

Kailey Swarts

I am Kailey Swarts and I am an incoming senior at Kasson Mantorville high school and will graduate in 2020. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and being very social. I like to stay busy and keep myself occupied as much as I can! I am honored to be participating in the Kasson ambassador program because I really want to take an important role in my community and be more involved in any way that I can. I am so excited to be apart of the ambassador program!

Maija Agee

Hello! My name is Maija Agee and I will be a senior this year at Kasson-Mantorville High school. Although I’m a student at Kasson-Mantorville I will be attending RCTC this year in the PSEO program. I have been involved in Junior Class Officers, HOSA, National Honor Society and Mayo Clinic Young Volunteers Program. I decided that I wanted to sign up to be a candidate in the Kasson Ambassador Program because I grew up in this community and I am very proud of it. I wanted to do any part to help contribute to this community and this is a way to get involved. I love doing service work therefore this is a great program to be involved in.

Grace Worden

I am Grace Worden, I lived in Kasson my whole life and I am very excited for this upcoming year as I will be a senior at Kasson Mantorville High School. I love to participate in lots of extra curricular activities and I love spending time with my friends and family.
