BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Reward now offered for capture of accused murderer

The U.S. Marshal Service is now offering a reward for the capture of accused murderer Lois Riess of Blooming Prairie.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said the U.S. Marshals have upgraded the Riess case to a major case as of today and is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 leading to the arrest of Riess.

In addition, Florida Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $1,000.

Riess is accused of killing her husband at their residence outside of Blooming Prairie in March and a Florida woman vacationing in Fort Myers Beach last week.

Anyone with information on Riess’ whereabouts is asked to call the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Tip Line at 1-877-996-6222. Callers can remain anonymous.

Sheriff Rose said charges still have not been filed in the Dodge County case, but he expects them to within the next few days.
