BREAKING NEWS: Sheriff's office on scene of possible homicide outside Blooming Prairie



The crime scene protected by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is at Prairie Wax Worm Farms located at 75859 U.S. Highway 218, just southeast of the city limits of Blooming Prairie. It is located in Dodge County.

Sources have said the incident began around 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension from St. Paul is assisting Dodge County with the death investigation.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a possible homicide outside of Blooming Prairie.

Sheriff’s vehicles are securing a crime scene at a residence located just southeast of Blooming Prairie off U.S Highway 218 in Dodge County. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is also at the scene.

Blooming Prairie Police Chief Greg Skillestad confirmed his department was involved in the initial call, but referred any further details to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office. Skillestad did say that he was not aware of any threats to the public as a result of this incident.
