BREAKING NEWS: ACCUSED DODGE COUNTY KILLER PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN FLORIDA MURDER
The accused grandma killer from Dodge County has entered a not guilty plea in connection with the murder of a Florida woman.
Lois Riess of Blooming Prairie filed her plea and waived arraignment Thursday, court officials said. Her arraignment had been previously scheduled for May 29, but has since been canceled. No new court date has been set.
Riess is accused of killing Pamela Hutchinson in Fort Myers Beach while on the run from Minnesota authorities. Riess is also suspected of killing her husband, David Riess, in their rural Blooming Prairie home around March 23.
Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose said Riess has not yet been charged as his office is awaiting lab results from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
