Farm to Table Community Dinner set for June 23
There is still time to get your tickets for the first annual Dodge Refreshed Farm to Table Community Dinner on June 23 but you will have to hurry. The deadline to purchase tickets is June 17.
The dinner, which will be at Coop’s Event Barn in Dodge Center, is an opportunity to enjoy a meal prepared by Omar’s Kitchen from local sources.
The dinner menu will include hors d’oeuvres, Stuffed Breast of Chicken Florentine, Medallion of Pork Tenderloin Au Poivre, market fresh vegetable medley, herb roasted new potatoes, fresh baked assorted rolls and butter and Lori’s Dessert Display.
The meat for the dinner will be sourced by Moenning Meats, LLC. They are a local butcher shop and raise their livestock on the family farm located outside of Dodge Center. Produce will be from Fairview Farm, a five-generation family farm located in Altura, Minn. Trail Creek Coffee Roasters will provide the coffee.
Included with the meal will be one drink ticket for a glass of wine, beer or mead from a local microbrewery. And you get to keep the glass.
A portion of the proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the North Park project in Dodge Center. The city will be updating the park to include more walking trails, pollinator gardens, a new pavilion and pickle ball courts. An inclusive playground will also be installed to provide a safe place for children of all abilities to play together.
