Blooming Prairie family honored with Century Farm
The Krell family of rural Blooming Prairie were honored at the Steele County Free Fair on August 12 for having a Century Farm. The Minnesota Farm Bureau honored the family. Their farm was started on June 4, 1910.

Notification meeting held
Robert Martinez, 26, is a level-three sex offender. He has been released from prison after serving his court-ordered sentence and is a free man. He has moved to Blooming Prairie. A notification meeting was held last week to answer any questions residents may have.

The sheriff's race has slimmed to three. Chief Deputy Milo Dahlin and Deputy Lon Thiele won the primary and now join Gary Halverson, a write in candidate, for the race to the November elections.

Robert Martinez, 26, is a level-three sex offender. He is registered with the Blooming Prairie Police Department.
A meeting will be held today (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. at City Hall for more information.
