Medford kindergartners moving up

Hats off to Medford’s youngest scholars.
On June 1, Medford’s kindergarten classes celebrated their graduation to the first grade. This is the first time Medford elementary has ever celebrated a kindergarten graduation.
Mrs. Miller, Mrs. Padgett, and Mrs. Trapp’s classes processed onto the auditorium stage in their red caps with tassels. The room was packed with families who had come out to watch their children, who have completed 178 days of kindergarten
The classes came forward one at a time to receive their diplomas from their respective teachers and shake hands with principal Mark Ristau.
Before coming forward, each class sang about something they had learned during their time in kindergarten. Mrs. Miller’s class sang “Who Let the Letters out?” to the tune of “Who let the Dogs Out?” as students showed off their knowledge of the alphabet.
