Triton FFA members honored at Region VIII banquet
Triton High School FFA members were recognized at the Region VIII banquet at Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School last week including Brianna Fitzgerald as Region VIII Star Farmer and a finalist for state Star Farmer and Jack Crowson as Region Star in Agribusiness.
The Fish and Wildlife team of Craig Weber, Cole Bergman and Matthew Buckingham placed first in the region with Weber and Bergman placing second individually and Buckingham third. The Horse Evaluation team of Lane Aarsvold, Liza Aarsvold and Jackie Thayer placed first as a team and Thayer also placed first individually.
The Livestock Team of Brianna Fitzgerald, Courtney Dohrman, Carissa Kleinwort, Martha Moenning and Code Marquardt also placed first in the Region.
Jack Crowson received a Poultry Production Proficiency Gold Rating and Courtney Dohrman also received a Sheep Placement Proficiency Gold Rating.
Martha Moenning won the Creed Speaking contest and performed the FFA creed in front of the audience.
Sam Moenning served as the Region VIII Sentinel and placed third in the Extemporaneous Speaking and Discussion Meet.
The Triton Chapter also won the Region VIII food hunger challenge raising almost 5,000.
Chapter members will be attending and competing at the 87th State FFA Convention April 24-26 in St. Paul.
